    OstiCoxib (firocoxib) 227mg Chewable Tablets are veterinary-prescribed NSAIDs designed to control pain and inflammation in dogs suffering from osteoarthritis or recovering from soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. As a COX-2 selective inhibitor, OstiCoxib targets the specific enzymes responsible for inflammation, thereby minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with non-selective NSAIDs. The recommended dosage is 2.27 mg per pound (5.0 mg/kg) of body weight, administered once daily. For postoperative pain, treatment can commence approximately two hours prior to surgery and continue for up to three days as needed. The chewable tablets are flavored to enhance palatability, making administration straightforward. Regular veterinary consultations are essential to monitor the dog's response and adjust dosing as necessary.
