    Prascend Tablets 1 mg, containing the active ingredient pergolide, is a medication primarily used in horses to treat pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction (PPID), commonly referred to as equine Cushing's disease. PPID is a disorder in which the pituitary gland produces excessive amounts of hormones, leading to symptoms such as increased thirst, excessive urination, coat changes, laminitis, and weight loss. Prascend works by regulating the hormone levels, particularly by inhibiting the overproduction of prolactin and other hormones that contribute to the disease's symptoms.
