    Marquis 127 gm Tube is a veterinary medication designed for horses to treat and control protozoal infections, including those caused by Sarcocystis neurona, the parasite responsible for equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM). The active ingredient in Marquis, ponazuril, works by inhibiting the parasite’s ability to reproduce, effectively reducing the protozoal load in the body. This treatment is primarily used for horses diagnosed with EPM, a condition that can lead to neurological symptoms such as muscle weakness, ataxia, and loss of coordination. The 127 gm tube provides an adequate amount of the medication for the duration of the treatment. Marquis is administered orally, with dosing instructions based on the horse's weight and the severity of the infection, and should be used under the guidance of a veterinarian. Timely and proper treatment with Marquis helps reduce the effects of the infection, improve the horse's recovery, and prevent further neurological damage.
